Having personally worn short hair since her early twenties, she has a special feel and understanding of how to cut it.  She will never double book as to allow ample time to perfect your look and keep you safe. 

She also loves to color, ranging from grey coverage, color correction, balayage, baby lights, natural looking highlights, red heads and platinums to fit your unique personality and lifestyle.

Established in 2001.

Kat grew up all over the world. With her teenage years being spent in fashion forward Italy, she knew from a young age that she was going to be a hairstylist. Once she moved to the US, she went to beauty school and landed her first job at the San Diego A Robert Cromeans salon. There, she trained under some of the industry leaders and developed her own style. She then moved her clientele to Maida salon in the heart of Little Italy where she called home for 12 years. She then moved to Hyde Edwards salon where she worked for a year. After the uncertainty that followed at the start of the  COVID 19 outbreak, she decided to open her own salon studio, PIXIEDOT. She wanted to name her studio something that would reflect her passion for short hair. Thus, PIXIEDOT was born. Since then we have grown our team and moved into a gorgeous 4 chair salon.

We now celebrate the dot in Pixiedot...

Lindsay specializes in blonding, doing every technique. From balayage to baby lights or platinum.

She does 6 extension methods to suit your hair needs and texture.

She also loves to cut trendy styles. 

Makeup is another thing she has a lot of passion and experience doing.

Lindsay has been working in the beauty industry for 17 years. She started her journey in Hollywood doing makeup and hair for film and TV.
She then continued her career in Milan where she worked in editorial print work. She was backstage doing makeup and hair for Milan, Paris & NY fashion week!
Her career then continued onto NYC where she worked in hair and makeup for Al Jazeera international news network. She also taught education at Tigi advanced academy in Soho.
But wait there’s more…. Her career then continued to Washington DC where she opened up a salon and was head of makeup at the middle eastern broadcasting network.
Sunny California was next in her chapter. She’s been living in San Diego for 8 years, and been behind the chair at Maida salon in Little Italy.
She loves connecting with new guests. Finding a style for each individual that truly suits their lives and personalities. “I love making people feel amazing about their look, and I love the journey along the way!”

The best part of Lindsay is in between these lines. I’ve never met anyone with more life experiences. She’s not only an incredible stylist. She’s an amazing friend and soul sister. I’m so over the moon to able to work with her once again.

David specializes in short hair. He has an amazing eye for detail and spends time making sure he understands what you want. He is skilled in razor, scissors, and clipper work.
Bobs, lobs, pixie cuts, and men’s work.
He also really loves to take someone platinum as well as balayage and highlighting.

David was adopted as a child by an amazing family and grew up in Jacksonville, Florida. He then moved to Los Angeles in 2004, joined the U.S. Navy, and lived abroad in Bahrain/Dubai. He was then stationed in San Diego in 2006, on the U.S.S. Nimitz. He had traveled most of the world by the age of 25. His experiences had given him so much perspective and depth. He knew deep down he needed to pursue a career that would express his artistic side. This led him to become a professional DJ and music producer; all while pursuing a degree in psychology. Then the ultimate curve ball was deciding to become a hairstylist. He went to Paul Mitchell, the school in San Diego, where he is now an instructor and has now been behind the chair since 2014.

When David is not working, he enjoys living an active, healthy lifestyle, creating music, traveling, and seeking out the novelties this world has to offer.

David does some of the very best short hair I've ever seen. It means the world to me to finally have him by my side. I trust him with not only my hair but my clients who, at times, can't always make it into my chair.

Paul Michael is dual licensed as a barber and cosmetologist. He has also completed advanced training with the Vidal Sassoon Academy in Beverly Hills. He loves to modernize classic looks to make them fun and wearable for his clients on the go. He specializes in precision haircuts, lived in color, classic mens cuts and fades, and platinum hair. 

You will love his attention to detail, his energy and the way he will make you look and feel.
